Allie Seidel Beach Volleyball Athlete and Indian Land High School athlete Allison “Allie” Seidel, 16, is tearing up the beach courts this past summer. She and Grace Painter of Charlotte Catholic, both 16, earned a bid to the USAV Carolina Regional Beach Championships for U16 after winning a silver medal at a USA Volleyball Carolina Region Junior Beach Tournament at Carolina Courts in Indian Trail, N.C., on June 1.  Seidel and Madeline Holmes, 15, of Marvin Ridge High School, placed second in the 18 Open Division at the USAV Junior Beach Tournament on June 29 at Renaissance Park in Charlotte. This earned them a bid to the USAV Carolina Regionals Beach Championships for U18. Seidel’s father, Jim, coached them in this tournament.
This win placed Seidel as the overall  No. 3 ranked USAV 16-year-old beach volleyball player in South Carolina, and ranked her 512th nationally.
Seidel has earned invitational bids to the Amateur Athletic Union, West Coast AAU Jr. Olympic Games in Santa Monica, Calif., as well as the two bids to the Carolina Region Junior Beach Regional Championships.
The Indian Land player’s beach jump serve has been featured on volleyball manufacturer Spalding’s King of the Beach Instagram account and she has received several messages and inspiration from April Ross, two-time Olympic medalist and World Beach Champion.

This week, Seidel is working with Jeremy Casebeer, an AVP pro beach volleyball player at the Beach South Volleyball Club in Greensboro, N.C.
On Aug. 11, Seidel competed and placed 3rd in the Catawba College High Performance Beach Volleyball Tournament for the 16 Open Division. Seidel is also coached by her father, Jim Seidel, beach player and head coach JV, assistant varsity coach and head scout for the Gaston Day Spartans, and head coach for the 17 national team at Carolina Union Volleyball Club in Charlotte, NC. Allie is also coached by Cadie Bates, former Duke Indoor Volleyball player and beach volleyball phenom at USC in Columbia, SC.

Seidel plays beach volleyball for Beach South Volleyball Club, with a location in South Charlotte, coached by CJV Director Shem Welch.

Last season, Seidel was named All Tournament Player during tournament at Boiling Springs, where she competed with the ILHS volleyball team.
